CeBIT Hannover

Early in the morning, around 5.30h, we left for Hannover. We drove there by car, flying low, to get at the CeBIT within a reasonable timespan. The drive took us about four hours. We parked at the airport where we took the bus to the Hannover Messe. It took a while to get in because it seemed to be difficult for some people at the entrance to recognise Dutch student cards. And, Dutch as we are, we wouldn't pay more than strictly needed to get in.
Since we wouldn't be able to see everything, we made a coarse separation of topics. We chose to concentrate on telecommunication, networking (Bluetooth, Firewire and Gigabit Ethernet), Embedded PCs and last but not least Linux (a.o. office applications).

After a long day of dragging around the Messe, we took the bus back to the airport. Due to 'some' other people leaving, it took us about one and a half hour. Back at our car, we aimed for home. We made a short stop at a typical German restaurant called McDonalds. After some McBratwursts, we continued our journey to arrive home around midnight.
